How to wear your keffiyeh?
Posted on August 25 2025
One keffiyeh so many ways to style it, so versatile, such a non-brainer.
Wearing a SEP Jordan keffiyeh is wearing a story, any way, every way, our own way. Yet for those who feel a little guidance could help, we have gathered the basic keffiyeh folds.
The start is to fold the keffiyeh in a triangle showing the whole of the embroidery line, there we go:
1. The shoulder shawl
Place the keffiyeh on the shoulder for a conventional but efficient cover up especially in the heart of winter when additional layers are always welcome.
2. The traditional triangle
The easiest way to wear the keffiyeh as a scarf, the triangle fold has all the attributes of SEP Jordan’s craftsmanship on display: the tassels and the embroidery.
Option: tying the two loose ends in a knot under the triangle
3. Twisted fold
Either completely wrapped around the neck or with the sides of the scarf hanging, all the while showing the embroidery all the way…. that’s the edge of the twisted fold, at its best with the Linda Keffiyeh scarf (my opinion…). Requires a little tutorial but anyone can get the hang of it in no time.
4. Sarong triangle fold
The pictures below speak for themselves, undeniably the handiest summer wrap ever!
5. Sarong style long
Open the keffiyeh to its full size, place the embroidery at the front, wrap and tie like previously on one side of the waist.
